New Record!

So...I locked myself in my apartment for the weekend after Thanksgiving and sat down in front of a microphone and my computer and just started recording.  I thought I was just keeping myself out of trouble, but as of this morning, 11 of the 17 songs I recorded are now an acoustic record called "Black Friday."

You can stream the whole record, and also purchase the record here:  www.chadperrone.bandcamp.com

This is going to be a digital release only, and I haven't decided whether or not the record will go up to iTunes.  But for now you can purchase it at the site above, and for the next couple of weeks, you'll get an acoustic version of "Touch" and "What I've Become" in addition to the 11 songs.

Hopefully I'll see some of those friendly faces before the end of the year (namely at one of the upcoming shows)!

Hope all is well with everyone!

I Suck At Updates...

I've come to accept this of myself, and I'm dealing with it accordingly.

The show last night at The Middle East was so much fun.  If you are reading this, and you were there, muchas gracias!!!  We're doing one last full band show this year next month, at the Hard Rock Cafe (check out the "performance" section of the site for details!).  Shortly thereafter, our good friends Max (drums) and Steve (bass) will be heading back over to China to rock out for a few months.  So, be prepared for some solo/duo kind of gigs to cap off 2011.

As for the record, I've shelved the tracking process for now.  I'm not 100% on the new songs, so I'm taking some time to re-evaluate the tunes, and hopefully write more.  It also feels like every time I talk about the new record, I change the direction that I want to go in.  I'm sure it will all figure itself out eventually though.

Lastly, here is a little interview I did with my buddy Blake at the Weekly Dig here in Boston.  (Click Here)

That's it from this end!  Hope all is well with everyone!

Big News!

Lots of fun things on the horizon.  Some of which I will share now...

Next Wednesday, May 11th, part of my song "Anxious Anymore" will be featured on an episode of MTV's 'The Real World'.  Check local times and listenings for more information.

I've got two big shows coming up in the local Boston area.  (May 12 - Club Passim, Cambridge, MA | May 21 - Tupelo Music Hall, Londonderry, NH).  I've had a lot of people email me regarding touring and when I'll get back out to their neck of the woods.  Honestly, touring has never been cost effective.  I miss it greatly, but with the direction the "industry" has gone, it has been more difficult to get out on the road.  Which is why it's exciting that both of the upcoming shows will be broadcast live over the web, for free.  Hopefully this doesn't discourage people from actually coming out, but for those that live far away, this could be a good chance to check out a show.  www.concertwindow.com... check it.  (FREE).

Still working on new material and spending time in the studio etc.  More updates on that soon.

Hope you're all swell.

Much love,

CP.

New Record!!!

We started tracking drums to four of the new songs last weekend, and I'm pretty damn excited about it.  The approach we are taking with this new record is totally different from anything we've done before.  In the past I have already written 20+ songs when we finally decide to sit down and pick 13-15 of them to track.  For this recording, I'm still in the process of writing and finishing songs.  While not having everything figured out is somewhat scary, it's also quite exciting.  I have no idea what this record will sound like, or if the songs are any good, or how many songs we'll record.  But we're having fun.  Oh, and did I mention that I'm playing drums?  Ha.  This should prove to be interesting.  We are back at it tomorrow, and I'll do my best to keep updates coming etc.  Stay tuned...
